Gidaakiikaa Residential Development
The Gidaakiikaa Development consists of a looped road system for 24 single-family lots on approximately 33 acres of wooded and rolling terrain. The development was built for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indian’s (GTB) community and is located on the north edge of Peshawbestown, north of Traverse City, Michigan.
GTEC provided design and construction management services to facilitate the installation of all utilities, road, sidewalk, and street lighting to create safe and appealing development for GTB community. The $1M project was possible by combining funding from both the Bureau of Indian Affairs Federal Highways and Indian Health Services.
